Volunteer Spotlight: Irma Hashmi, DO, Volunteer Gastroenterologist
Irma Hashmi, DO took her first tour of Culmore Clinic in February and by April she was seeing her first Culmore Clinic patient as a Volunteer Gastroenterologist.
Funny enough, Irma found Culmore Clinic through one of her patients at her work at a Northern Virginia hospital. She wanted to give back to her local community and she loved how well run and welcoming The Clinic was on her tour.

She says that her favorite thing so far about volunteering at Culmore Clinic has been the staff. “They are so kind and helpful, always smiling.”
When Irma is not volunteering at The Clinic and working at the hospital, she is exploring DC and traveling. She recently returned from a trip to Asia (Malaysia, Thailand, and Nepal). She loves reading, participating in a book club, spending time with family and friends and her cat Lumos.
We are so glad to have Irma and grateful for her time volunteering her skills at The Clinic.
