Trauma-Informed Design Makeover for Culmore Clinic

Over the weekend, a crew from The Oasis Alliance was on site kicking off the first phase of the trauma-informed design project they are providing Culmore Clinic. Trauma-informed design is a form of interior design that applies the theory that spaces have an impact on our emotions. This form of design works to promote well-being, particularly in spaces like healthcare facilities like Culmore Clinic. You can learn more about this fascinating new approach in the video below and this article, “5 Principles of Trauma-Informed Design.”

As Culmore Clinic is an operating clinic, the team from Oasis Alliance will do their work on the weekends. Stay tuned for updates on how they will transform the space for our patients and community.
